On her advice for Filipinos who just relocated abroad or who want to live overseas, Rachel said: "Sa lahat ng mga kababayan natin who are far from home or thinking about or considering what that might be like, I highly recommend leaving your comfort zone especially at least once in your lifetime. If you can, if you have the means, if there is an opportunity, I highly recommend living in another country. Why? Because I think you will grow as a person. Magugulat ka sa sarili mo na kaya mo pala."

"When the pandemic hit, I found myself in NY because we couldn’t travel and there was no work for singers anywhere. I was there for 10 months straight. I eventually got to like it there. After the pandemic, all the opportunities that came my way were in the US, except [Can’t Buy Me Love] from ABS-CBN." She turned down the offer to star in the Kapamilya series at that time as she decided to focus on her career in the US.
