Bianca Gonzalez recalls journey in hosting

Kapamilya television personality Bianca Gonzalez recalled her hosting journey which started 20 years ago.

On her social media page, Bianca shared how she started her journey from being a movie review talk show host with actor-host Ryan Agoncillo, to coming back to a new program, The B-side, under Cinema One.

“I was finishing up college when I was given the incredible opportunity to be a host for Review Night on Cinema One, alongside THE Ryan Agoncillo. It was a movie review talk show, a dream come true of a dream I never even knew I had as a Comm major and aspiring filmmaker,” Bianca penned.

“It was my first TV show in the ABS-CBN compound, and to this day I remain so grateful to Ryan and the Cinema One bosses for trusting an inexperienced host to take on this show,” she added.

Bianca then reminisced how her first hosting stint also led her to her 15-year-long fronting at the weekly entertainment news program, where she met and talked with several stars of different generations in the industry.

“I was again so crazy lucky to be given the job to host the weekly entertainment news program Cinemanews — a show I ended up doing for 15 years of my career,” she said. “What a blessing Cinemanews has been in my life — it really honed my skills in research, listening, and interviewing, and I wouldn’t be the host I am today without this show.”

Bianca then expressed her gratitude after her second show ended and now that she will be back on another program.

“Once again, I feel honored to be entrusted to host the NEW show of Cinema One, the bi-monthly special titled The B-Side,” she announced.

“After 20 years, it feels amazing to still get the chance to do new things, to be at the helm of new shows, and to get front row seats to the growth and journey of our most well-loved stars,” she continued.

Along with Bianca’s post were some of her new show's behind-the-scene moments, including actors Gerald Anderson and Ian Veneracion as well as High Street actress Dimples Romana who made guest appearances.

The show already started last May 10 and is available to watch on Cinema One channel and social media pages as well as iWantTFC.

Celebrity friends then congratulated and expressed appreciation for the seasoned host.

“Congrats our Ate Biiii🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Magandang Buhay host Melai Cantiveros commented.

Bianca’s former co-host Ryan also stated, “Galing mo partner ❤️🙌.”

Last May, Bianca closed her journey with The Voice of the Philippines as the franchise ended its run on the Kapamilya network.

On her Instagram, Bianca penned a message expressing gratitude to her two-year experience as one of the main hosts in the show.

“What an INCREDIBLE experience it has been to host The Voice Kids and The Voice Teens for its final two editions on ABS-CBN. What a JOY that I get to host alongside my baby bro Robi (who continues to make me so proud as he shows why he is one of the most in demand hosts in the country),” she wrote.

Bianca ended her message by bidding farewell to the show, saying: “I will treasure the memories of the past two years for life!!!! A bittersweet goodbye, but I feel crazy lucky that I got this opportunity to be a part of The Voice legacy.”
