BINI Colet admitted that there was a time when she almost gave up on her BINI dream.

In an interview with Melai Cantiveros on the Bisaya talk show Kuan On One, Colet disclosed that it was during her trainee days in BINI when she almost quit.

Colet's family lives in Bohol so she was away from home while she was in training.

The singer also recounted that the trainings were difficult during that time. "Nag-Korean training kami sa PBB [house], three months. Aside sa Korean training sa morning meron kaming Filipino coaches," she relayed.

The singer went on: "Sinabi ko na sa nanay ko na, 'Uuwi na ako ma. Hindi ko na 'to kaya.' Tapos walang kasiguraduhan dahil nag-shutdown ang [ABS-CBN]. Feeling namin na isa kami sa matatanggal. So wala talagang kasiguraduhan," she said.

Despite the challenges, what gave Colet the courage to push through?

When asked what BINI song she can relate to her journey, Colet remarked that it would have to be her self-written song "8."

The singer shared that she originally wrote "8" as a graduation song when she was in high school.

She tweaked the song a bit when it was released as a track for BINI.

Colet shared that "8" now signifies the 8 members of BINI.

BINI has recently achieved numerous milestones in their career.

On the first day of its release, in less than 24 hours, the song also hit 1 million Spotify streams. It also landed the number one spot on iTunes in the Philippines and Singapore, No. 2 in the United Arab Emirates, and No. 3 in Saudi Arabia.

BINI is also set to perform at the KCON in Los Angeles, California as part of the special lineup for the M Countdown Preshow at the music festival on July 27.

The nation's girl group is set to drop two new albums soon for the international and local markets.

"Marami kaming plans for BINI. We are gathering songs na rin for their fourth album. May local album pa rin naman. Separate dapat pa 'yun, for the Filipino audience," ABS-CBN Music head Roxy Liquigan he remarked in a recent interview.
