Jessa Zaragoza reveals recent health scare affecting her voice

<p>After performing with her husband Dingdong Avanzado and daughter Jayda at the The Original Prince of Pinoy Pop concert held at The Theatre at Solaire last month, Jessa Zaragoza revealed going through a recent health scare in an Instagram post last August 11. The 45-year-old singer and actress also included a photo of herself recovering in a hospital bed in the post.</p><p>In the post, Jessa revealed going to several hospitals after performing at her husband’s concert last July. She wrote, “Hello World! I’ve been MIA recently ever since the aftermath of Dingdong’s 37th Anniversary concert at the Theatre at Solaire last July 19. Prior to the concert, I got really sick. Ni-rounds ko na ata yung mga ospital. Cardinal, St. Lukes, Diliman. Tinawid ko lang talaga sa concert 🙈 Nakaraos naman ng mahusay. Salamat sa Diyos.”</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2024/7/17/jessa-zaragoza-reveals-the-real-reason-she-doesn-t-do-acting-projects-anymore-1222"><strong>READ: Jessa Zaragoza reveals the real reason she doesn’t do acting projects anymore</strong></a></div><p>In the same post, Jessa shared the condition that affected her vocal cords. “After the big event, I underwent an important scheduled procedure at St. Lukes Global.</p><p>You see, months before the concert, apart from the other sickness I dealt with, I had noticed some hoarseness coming from my voice and upon examination, discovered I had a Vocal polyp and Esophageal varices on my vocal folds.</p><p>&quot;This is the second time I’ve dealt with something to this extent, so it definitely alarmed me that I had to go through this again. The procedure was to remove said findings, and thankfully, it went smoothly. The recovery process began and I had to go on complete vocal rest for over a week. No talking whatsoever. As if that weren’t enough already, while I was recuperating, I caught a bug. Uso talaga ngayon. Di talaga ako tinantanan ng sakit🤷‍♀️ The stress really took a toll on my health.
