Niño Muhlach turns emotional for son in senate inquiry

<p>Veteran actor Niño Muhlach couldn’t hold back his emotions as he represented his son, Sandro Muhlach, at the Senate Inquiry headed by Senator Robin Padilla.</p><p>This comes after his son filed a formal complaint against two independent contractors, Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz, from GMA Network about the alleged sexual harassment of the young actor during the GMA Gala 2024.</p><div><iframe width="1366" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/HMhLPYPA8ic" title="Committee on Public Information and Mass Media (August 7, 2024)" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>Sandro was unable to attend the Senate Inquiry as he was advised by the Behavioral Science department of the National Bureau of Investigation to skip it for his mental health. </p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2024/8/2/sandro-muhlach-files-complaint-against-gma-independent-contractors-1018" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u>READ: Sandro Muhlach files complaint against GMA independent contractors</u></strong></a></div><p>“Bilang ama, I may not have been a good husband but I could proudly say that I did my best to be a good father sa abot ng aking makakaya. Yung mga anak namin tinuruan namin maging magalang, maging marespeto,” he shared.</p><p>Niño expressed his disbelief in what transpired as he personally knows Jojo as the latter was the head writer for the show, Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis. He turned emotional as he expressed how much he respected the head writer of the Kapuso series.</p><p>“Kaya talaga ako nasaktan nung kwinento niya sa akin yung nangyari. Para makita mo yung anak mo na nanginginig at di niya halos mahawakan yung telepono niya… Yung kwinento niya sakin yung ginawa sa kanya lalo na si Jojo Nones po katrabaho namin ni Sen [Bong Revilla] sa Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis…”</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2024/8/3/nino-muhlach-requests-prayers-for-son-sandro-our-family-has-suffered-so-much-2137" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u>READ: Niño Muhlach requests prayers for son Sandro: ‘Our family has suffered so much’</u></strong></a></div><p>“Sobrang galang ko sa kanya, sobrang respeto ko sa kanya. Pag may events kami ako pa yung unang lumalapit sa kanya. Sir Jojo pa nga tawag ko sa kanya eh. Di ko talaga matanggap na nagawa niya sa anak ko ito… Sobrang sama po talaga ng loob ko kay Jojo Nones. Kung makita niyo lang talaga anak ko talaga,” he added. </p><p>Meanwhile, Jojo and Richard were not able to attend the session but were subpoenaed by Senator Jinggoy Estrada for the next session as he didn’t accept the excuse sent by the two.</p>
