South Korean girl group ITZY successfully completed the Philippine leg of their Born to Be world tour last Saturday, August 3, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The concert of the K-Pop group was attended by thousands of their fans who screamed at the top of their lungs to show their support.

ITZY’s concert in the country was made possible by local concert organizer Live Nation Philippines who has been bringing several international acts to the country.

The South Korean artists started off their show with a bang as they performed "Born to Be," "Racer," and "Kidding Me," as part of their opening set. They then introduced themselves in Filipino to the enjoyment of their Filipino fans.

Despite being only four members due to Lia’s hiatus, the girls present made sure that their Filipino MIDZYs will have fun as they prepared a lot for them. They performed the dance break of one of their iconic songs, "WANNABE," which hyped up the crowd.

ITZY continued singing several more songs and each time the Filipino fans would sing along which the members noticed.

“I always get shocked when I visit Manila. MIDZYs why do you sing so well,” Yuna expressed.

“I’m really happy cause it seems like we’re having an amazing time together. Sobrang saya ko,” Chaeryeong added.

Apart from their songs, the girl group stunned everyone as they danced to the hit BINI song, "Pantropiko," to which the fans danced along to.

ITZY assured that they will be back with more music as they ended their concert on a high note with their debut song, "Dalla Dalla."

Prior to their highly-anticipated concert, ITZY held a press conference at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City. The girl group expressed how excited they were to return to the country after a year since they last held a concert in the Philippines as they learned more from their first world tour.

“The Checkmate tour was our first would tour so we really learned a lot from that and I think the Born to Be tour is the time that we use it. I think this is the biggest difference [between] Checkmate [tour] and Born to Be [tour],” Ryujin shared.

ITZY is a five member girl group composed of Lia, Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna. They made their debut under entertainment label JYP Entertainment back in 2019.
