BGYO, however, asserted they will continue the rest of the cases they filed against other bashers. In a statement released the same day, the OPM group asserted their right to fight against the spread of fake news against them.

“Kami po sa BGYO ay naging target ng mga taong sadyang gumawa at nagpakalat ng malicious accusations and rumors para siraan kami. Nuong una po, kami ay nanahimik lang, hoping it will blow over. Hinayaan lang namin ito dahil alam namin, ng aming Management, at ng aming pamilya ang katotohanan,” the official statement went.

BGYO continued that while they accepted Rachelle’s apology, they hoped she, alongside the other netizens who maligned them, will learn from their mistakes moving forward.

Meanwhile, BGYO member Mikki admitted how the spread of fake information about them has affected their mental health.

Member JL added that the five of them draw strength from one another and uplift each other. He claimed that none of these baseless rumors can trump the truth about all of them.

BGYO is keen about fighting back against the accusations thrown at them according to their legal counsel. The netizens who were charged with defamation cases posted several misinformation about the group such as acts of rape and sexual assault, among others.
