From quiet to confident leader: Princess Aliyah’s glow-up on “PBB Collab 2.0”

From being tucked on the sidelines, the Sparkle artist emerged as a formidable task-slayer with the most number of leadership roles in groupings (earned via task ranking)—even when she resisted at first. </p><p>And that glow-up has carried her all the way the “PBB Collab 2.0” Ultimate 8. Before the Big Night, let’s revisit the key moments that built the journey of the Royal Songstress ng Bulacan.</p><div> </div><div><strong>First Nomination: Turning Point </strong></div><p>Princess was put in the danger of first eviction after her group, “Rays of Sunshine,” received 12 nomination points. She was nominated alongside Fred Moser, Waynona Collings, and their leader, Reich Alim.</p><p>Yet the nomination only switched on her game face, as she started to really shine in the tasks that followed, particularly in “Pinoy Big Bakbakan” live action presentation where she revealed great potential by playing the villain in the story. </p><div> </div><div><iframe width="966" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/cKdYGE7sBxk" title="Day 23: Housemates present &quot;Pinoy Big Bakbakan&quot; | PBB Collab 2.0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div> </div><p>The singer-actress also co-lead with Lella Ford in  creating the choreography for “Kabataang Pinoy.” Fans saw Princess becoming more open about her emotions as she shared with Lella her struggles adjusting to the high-energy, fast-paced environment inside the house. During the second group formation, she intentionally chose not to rush or excel in the task, knowing the frontrunners would automatically become leaders, and she was hesitant to take on that role. </p><p>But the universe brought her to exactly where she was supposed to be—at the front, as the leader of the “Strong-Willed Fighters.”</p><p>That week, the three groups clashed in a three-part LigTask challenge called “Laro Along Da Kalye,” where the winning team would earn immunity from nomination. The first round was a nostalgic mashup of &#x27;tumbang preso&#x27; and &#x27;tirador&#x27; (slingshot) games, with each group racing to knock down six cans in their assigned colors using slingshots.</p><p>&quot;Strong-Willed Fighters&quot; leader Princess delivered an astonishing buzzer-beater shot that secured an additional point for her team, making them the winners of the first round of “LigTask.”</p><div> </div><div><iframe width="966" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Relbq74wWMM" title="Day 27: Strong-Willed Fighters, wagi sa unang LigTask | PBB Collab 2.0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>That on-fire performance was followed by another leadership role during the third group formation, where she headed the “Big Back Dreamers.” In the fourth grouping, housemates were paired by twos, but she still earned the chance to choose her partner after a task-based ranking, and picked Fred as her duo. Princess was chosen on the Kapuso side, with the team citing her palpable determination, initiative in household chores, and consistent competence in tasks.</p><div> </div><div><iframe width="966" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/G1KFpHiEgt8" title="Day 79: True-Pa, binotong mapabilang sa mga nominado sina Fred, Ashley | PBB Collab 2.0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div> </div><div><strong>Boundaries Over Butterflies</strong></div><p>Along her journey, she developed a special bond with Star Magic artist Fred, even jestingly labeling their level of closeness as &quot;talking stage.&quot; But despite the mutual admiration in the air, Princess remained self-aware enough to set boundaries and stressed that it would be better for them to stay friends and not dwell too much on the romantic aspect because she wanted to focus on her goals as a housemate.</p><div> </div><div><iframe width="966" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wx_vHuTNwc0" title="Day 84: Princess, nilinaw na magkaibigan lang sila ni Fred | PBB Collab 2.0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div> </div><div><strong>Carrying the Weight </strong></div><p>In the competition&#x27;s final stretch before the Ultimate 8 was fully formed, the 17-year-old housemate revealed the depth of her heart by making a sacrifice for her companions who were “living” on the Ultimate Eye platforms, saying they were her “family” and that she could not bear to see them without food and water. </p><p>Princess carried a 10kg kettlebell for two hours to win four plates of food for Lella Ford, Caprice Cayetano, Ashley Sarmiento, and Krystal Mejes, and completed another round of lifting for an hour and a half to secure another set of meals.</p><div> </div><div><iframe width="966" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/LT8l5Yr0RzM" title="Day 117: Princess, hindi bumitaw hanggang sa dulo ng sacrifice task | PBB Collab" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div> </div><p>She also scooped water from the pool using only a spoon, with every glass she filled equivalent to one glass of drinking water for the four girls, and in the end managed to complete six glasses. </p><div> </div><div><strong>Ultimate 8 Spot: Locked In</strong></div><p>Because of the grit, skill, and heart she consistently showed inside the house, Princess earned the public’s support that carried her into the Ultimate 8.
