Kapamilya series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano has been on a record-breaking spree since Coco Martin’s character, Cardo Dalisay, fell in the hands of Lily (Lorna Tolentino) following a do-or-die airport battle.

A lot has happened since – bloody pursuits, downfall of a main character, Cardo cheating death again, and ringing in a fresh story arc – all these in one week, generating back-to-back viewership milestones for the long-running action-drama series.

The weeklong action would kick off from episode “Puslit,” June 13, wherein the remaining Agilas evaded Armando (John Estrada)’s faction, who plans of selling them out to the authorities. Meanwhile, Cardo remained unconscious in the hospital and was guarded by the Black Ops and Lito (Richard Gutierrez)’s henchmen.

Things got a little bloodier in the June 14 episode, “Pinatakas,” as Lolo Delfin (Jaime Fabregas) got double-crossed, shot on the shoulder by the traitor Omar (John Wayne Sace), who then received a gruesome death courtesy of Armando’s bullet.

The “Harapan” episode, June 15, was a visceral gut punch, a pure blood-pumping experience for the viewers as Cardo managed to escape from Lito’s pursuit by disguising as a Black Ops member, all the while Lito’s henchmen and Albert (Geoff Eigenmann)’s squadron engage in a no-mercy gun battle.

Meanwhile, the Agilas sans Lolo Delfin, and with the help of Lucas (Joseph Marco), managed to escape into the woods where a goosebump-inducing reunion is set to happen. President Oscar (Rowell Santiago) saw Diana (Angel Aquino)’s team approaching, and the Agilas honored the President with a very emotional salute.

Through the episode, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano made a new all-time high record of 287, 241 concurrent viewers on Kapamilya Online Live.

For two episodes straight, the teleserye soared high with fresh milestones. June 16, “Habulan” episode, Cardo and Lito’s epic showdown just got more thrilling and gruesome before Cardo, bloodied and with a knife stuck on his body, managed to escape by vehicle.

After the episode aired, Dreamscape Entertainment announced that the show’s concurrent live viewers peaked at 321, 373.

Building on the previous episode’s ‘escape,’ Cardo sped away with a Black Ops mobile while Lito hijacked a motorcycle in “Ganti” (June 17 episode). Cue in a grand chase scene, complete with an incredible display of wrath, vendetta, and fighting spirit.

The two men, once bitter rivals over Alyana (Yassi Pressman), exchanged bullets as they sped towards each other. Tossing themselves out of the exploding vehicles, Cardo and Lito exchanged bullets, face-to-face, with their killer moves choreographed to perfection. Cardo has finally avenged the death of his beloved wife Alyana. “Para kay Alyana,” he shouted as he stabbed Lito.

With the exit of Lito’s character comes the entrance of Charo Santos, playing Ramona, the leader of a group of farmers who saved Cardo.
