He played Patrick, a struggling artist, who pursued the shy Jillian (Julia) by painting her face on street walls. Julia portrayed Mara, the long lost daughter of President Oscar Hidalgo (Rowell Santiago) and Aurora (Sharon Cuneta); and the adopted daughter of Armando (John Estrada) and Lolita (Rosanna Roces), the couple who betrayed Coco’s Cardo Dalisay and his squad.And after years of anticipating who Cardo’s character will actually end up with, viewers were surprised when Cardo reunited with Mara, who was presumed dead. The reunion during the final gap of the show’s historic finale episode was brief but romantic, hinting at their happily ever after.
