Vice Ganda and Angeline Quinto on love and relationships

<p>A few weeks after throwing a grand baby shower for her, Vice Ganda guested close friend Angeline Quinto in his two recent vlogs, wherein they talked about their respective relationships and he gave her valuable pieces of advice to which many of us could relate with and learn from.</p><p>In the Part 1 of “Chikahang Misis with Angeline Quinto” published on March 7, they tackled her controversial maternity shoot in which she finally bared the face of her mysterious non-showbiz partner. She revealed that she actually had to convince him to do it. Thus, they both decided to live under one roof ever since the latter part of 2021. Aside from having someone by her side as she goes through her first pregnancy, her beau’s presence also lessens the loneliness that she felt after the demise of her beloved Mama Bob. </p><p>Just like other couples, they also have their own share of fights, especially on the early months of her pregnancy. Despite her mood swings, she’s impressed by how he chooses to keep quiet and understand her instead of retaliating. </p><p>Angeline admitted that she used to be afraid to confront issues in her previous relationships, so the problem and misunderstandings tend to get severe. Seeing this is as one of the reasons why her past relationships didn’t work out, she tries her best to change in order to protect her current relationship.<br/>“May mga importanteng issues na dapat harapin, kailangan talaga pag-usapan kasi may mga sugat na dapat ginagamot. Pero sa dami ng issues na nasa paligid natin, dapat maging matalino tayo kung ano ‘yong mga issues na pwede nating palampasin at kung anong mga issues ang pwedeng ibuntong-hininga na lang. At mga-concentrate na lang tayo sa mga mahahalagang issues kasi kung bawat bagay pagtutuunan mo ng energy mo, mauubos tayo,” the Unkabogable Star advised her.</p><p>As the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime" target="_blank"><u><strong>It’s Showtime</strong></u></a> host veered their conversation to marriage, the 32-year-old singer-actress revealed that she actually sees herself getting hitched. However, if her significant other will not want to get married yet, she’s still not going to abandon him and will rather assume that they’re not on the same level of readiness.</p><p>When asked her what if that day will not come, she conveyed that she’s going to probably ask her boyfriend about it. While this is something she would not likely do before, but their child gives her courage. Vice told her that it’s just right to ask for something that she thinks she deserves, since she’s the only who knows her real worth. </p><p>At the same time, he also reminded her to be more open-minded and brace herself for the changes and challenges that their relationship is going to encounter in the coming years, especially when they become parents. He iterated that love will indeed always be a decision and a choice that they have to hold on to.</p><p>Meanwhile, in the second part uploaded on March 10, the TNT hurado and <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/icsyv" target="_blank"><u><strong>I Can See Your Voice</strong></u></a> Singvestigator shared one instance when she kind of got disappointed with her partner when she wasn’t able to receive the response she wanted to her during one of their conversations. Huwag n’yong ipilit na kayo ay iisa, hindi totoo ‘yon. Maraming parts ng buhay natin – kasama na diyan ang Diyos, malaking bahagi na rin ng buhay mo ang pamilya mo, career mo, malaking bahagi rin ng buhay mo ang mga kaibigan mo. Ibigay mo ‘yon sa kanya na magawa niya ang mga gusto niyang pansarili.”</p><p>Angeline supported it by saying that couples should not force their partners to give up the things they love to do. But Vice reminded that there are still things that should be sacrificed for the welfare of a loved one, such as vices. He admitted that he used to smoke, but he decided to stop it since Ion does not have any vice (well, except him!) and as a way of taking good care of their well-being, too.</p><p>Thus, the 45-year-old comedian-host reiterated that we have to allow our significant others to grow and be themselves.</p><p>The Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs also opened up about getting hurt by the snide and rude comments that she read on social media about her partner and their relationship, as they tend to be disparaging. </p><p>Vice consoled her by saying that no amount of applause or fame could be at par nor surpass the success and joy that she now savors. He told her, “Kunin mo ‘yong deserve mo. Gamitin mo ‘yong ginagawa nila laban sa’yo sa lalon ikagaganda mo. You own your life.”</p><p>With how Angeline’s outlook in life has changed, he told her that her son is definitely going to be good-looking, which she jestingly rebutted by saying that she’s not sure since they’re always together. Vice clapped back by uttering that it’s her who always wants to be by his side, yet she clarified that it was his Nanay Rosario who invited her to come over their house and he just came. </p><p>They may have bantered a lot, but Vice still let Angeline knew how proud he is of her. May we all find the same kind of friendship that these two talented and wonderful besties have!</p>
