&quot;Kambal sa Uma&quot; was created by novelists Jim Fernandez and Ernie Santiago and first published on Pinoy Komiks. It was adapted to movie by well-acclaimed director Joey Gosiengfiao and stars Rio Locsin as Ella, Orestes Ojeda, Al Tantay, and Julie Ann Fortich. Introducing then were showbiz siblings Dennis Roldan and Isabel Rivas.In the television version (2009), young actress Melissa Ricks played as Ella, Shaina Magdayao as Vira, and Rio Locsin, who played Ella in the movie adaptation, portrayed the role of Milagros – Ella’s mother.Ella is a lady that possesses certain features of a rat, such as big ears, a hairy head, and a tail. Her twin sister Vira has the same condition, but unlike Ella, she only has a hairy back, which she can easily conceal.Other stars included in the cast were actors Bing Davao, Allan Paule, Nonie Buencamino, Valerie “Bangs” Garcia, Jordan Herrera, Matt Evans and Jason Abalos.

The remake of the 1978 hit movie Kambal sa Uma was aired on television in 2009 starring Melissa Ricks and Shaina Magdayao.
