It’s Aya Fernandez’s turn to take on Kapamilya Chat’s iconic “What’s In The Box” Challenge.

We used to believe everyone is afraid of something – until we witnessed Aya’s “What’s In The Box” Challenge where she touched a random object placed in a mystery box and guessed what it is. The game started with bathroom scrubs, which she was able to identify with ease.

The next one was a toy snake, which she delicately held, “Iniingatan ko mamaya buhay pala.” She didn’t freak out, as she felt like cuddling her pet snake named Cheesecake, who is turning 2 in June. Asked for tips on caring for pet snakes, she said certificates and permits are required. She got Cheesecake from a legal breeder.

While snakes are feared for their aggressive behavior, Aya is proud that her pet is calm and friendly toward her, thanks to her gentle parenting. “Hindi siya matapang. Hindi siya masungit kasi pinalaki ko siya with tender love and care. Hindi ko siya kinakatok o ginugulat kaya hindi siya lumaking aggressive. Kasi ‘pag binibigla mo or, like, pinapatayan mo ng ilaw, lalaki siyang parang aggressive.” Aya mentioned that snakes are low-maintenance. She only feeds and holds Cheesecake once a week.
