At first glimpse, Janice de Belen and Gelli de Belen appear to be total opposites – one is more energetic than the other, one has a funky fashion taste while the other is fine with basic pieces, and so on.

Despite the long list of contrasts, the sisters harmonize, loving each other for everything they are, quirks, and all. We got a glimpse of their closeness in this video where they revealed three things about each other that the public might not know.

Always the effervescent one, Gelli shared some hilarious trivia bits about Janice. On top of the list is the latter’s ability to doze off anywhere, “Si Janice magaling gumawa ng tulog. Talent niya ‘yan. Kahit saan, kahit kailan, kahit papaano marunong siyang gumawa ng tulog. Kahit nakaupo, kahit nasa desk, kaya niyang pumosisyon at makakatulog siya.”

She then openly divulged to the world that Janice is not likely the best movie date companion. “Ang ingay niya,” she said of her sister. “Si Janice, ‘pag nanood ng sine lalo na ‘pag nakakatakot, para makalma niya ‘yung sarili niya, sasabihin niya kung anong mangyayari next, huhulaan niya.”

Janice, who was also present in this interview via Zoom, had the chance to defend herself, saying that making loud reactions is her way to distract herself when watching a horror movie. If she’s alone, she’d likely just skip the scary parts.

Having been very close growing up, of course, they were witnesses to one another’s ‘kalokohan.’ Gelli remembers the time when Janice wrote a different name on her exam paper. “Gusto niya palitan ang pangalan niya. At ang napili niyang pangalan niya ay Princess de la Rama. Ayaw niya ng Catherine Janice,” Gelli narrated. “At ang ginawa niya, nilagay niya sa test paper ang pangalang Princess de la Rama. Nung binabalik na ang mga test papers, nakalimutan niyang ginawa niya ‘yun, so ang nangyari hindi niya alam na siya si Princess dela Rama.” Janice only realized she’s Princess de la Rama after the teacher read the student number on the paper. Their parents were called to the principal's office because of the incident. “Eh, kaartehan ko lang naman ‘yun,” Janice explained, laughing.

Revenge time! When Janice had the opportunity to disclose her sister's secrets, she began by revealing that Gelli has a big appetite. “Malakas po siya kumain, matakaw siya. ‘Pag pinabili ka niya ng donut, anim na pirasong donut, pagdating sa’yo ng donut lahat may kagat kasi lahat tinikman niya.”

She also has funny things to divulge about her sissy's forgetfulness. “Galit pa ‘yan pag nagre-remind,” she said.

And even now, they remain updated about the other’s habits at home. Janice even knows that Gelli lets her husband, Ariel Rivera, do more chores at home.

“Akala n’yo masipag ‘yan? Hindi po totoo yun,” she said of Gelli. “Hindi siya maligpit na tao. Kasi sa kanila, si Ariel ang nagliligpit, si Ariel ang nag-oorganize at nagle-label, si Gelli matutulog na lang.”
