A picture paints a thousand words, they say. Therefore, JM De Guzman had memorable stories to share behind some of his Instagram snaps.

In this episode of Kapamilya Chat, the “Linlang.” actor was asked to rate and react to his old photos, starting off with an image of him giving an acceptance speech for an acting award. He explained that it was his first acting award and also from his first movie “Pinatakasi,” so he’d give it a perfect 10 rating and, of course, retain it on his feed. “Sobrang excited ako and hindi ko in-expect actually,” he said of clinching his first acting trophy.

The next photo shows a teenage JM and child actor Joshen Bernardo brushing their teeth together. It was a scene from the afternoon series “Angelito: Ang Batang Ama,” which was JM’s breakthrough lead role, thus it gave him some of his memorable ‘firsts’ as an actor.

The third image was of him flexing his arm tattoo, a guardian lion which is believed to “invite fortune and good vibes.” He rated it 9 out of 10.

When shown his photo from the 8th Star Magic Ball, JM laughed and gave it a 6 out of 10 rating. He would delete this one as well.

He would definitely delete his next photo too, which was taken from a fun run that he attended with an ex. Rating: Four.

The next one shows JM holding a paper with a written piece on it. As he shared, he was in a rehabilitation program at the time when he received another acting award, and he wrote down his acceptance speech on that piece of paper. “Kasi hindi ako pwedeng gumamit ng cell phone, hindi ako pwedeng mag-video. So, sinulat ko lang sa papel tapos pinost ko bilang pasasalamat.” This photo is a 10 and certainly for keeps.

“Good experience, good movie,” he reacted to a behind-the-scenes snap from “Kung Paano Siya Nawala,” his film with Rhian Ramos. He’d keep this picture as well.

What he might delete is a photo of him with a beard filter. “Napagtripan ko lang sarili ko diyan,” he commented before giving it 3 out of 10 rating.
