<p>While others arguably perceive golf as “boring” due to its laid-back vibe and the serenity brought by beautiful green landscapes wherein this sport is held, there are some who actually enjoy it so much, including celebrities. </p><p>And in recent years, we’ve probably noticed the influx of stars who are inclined with golf. In fact, it was even part of the Star Magic All-Star Games last year dubbed the Star Magic Golf Cup, in which a number of stars exhibited their skills in the green, including the ones in this Kapamilya Snaps feature. </p><div><strong>Donny Pangilinan</strong></div><p>Fans of Donny surely know that he’s into basketball, as he used to be a varsity player during his high school days. But he’s actually adept in playing various sports, which includes golf. Donny began playing in 2020 and documented the very first time he tried it in one of the vlogs uploaded in his YouTube channel. Nowadays, hitting the golf course is among his favorite bonding activities with his beloved family. </p><div><strong>Coco Martin</strong></div><p>We have seen Coco in a slew of action projects in recent years, with the well-loved primetime series <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/batangquiapo"><strong><u>FPJ’s Batang Quiapo</u></strong></a> as what currently keeps him extremely occupied. However, unbeknown to many of us, he actually loves to play golf, which helps him relax during his free time.</p><div><strong>Joshua Garcia</strong></div><p>He has certainly won our hearts with his irresistible charm and amazing talents. But Joshua will further make you fall in love with him as you watch him swing his club and make his shot. As we all know, Joshua got into this sport because of his celebrity friends, which includes Daniel Padilla, Zanjoe Marudo, and Daniel Miranda.</p><div><strong>Zanjoe Marudo</strong></div><p>Those who have been following his showbiz career through the years would know that the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/dirtylinen"><strong><u>Dirty Linen</u></strong></a> actor has been a fan of this sport for years. Attesting to that was when Zanjoe celebrated his 31st birthday with a golf tournament back in 2013, and when he hosted his very own annual charity tournament called the “Z Cup.”</p><div><strong>Daniel Padilla</strong></div><p>Aside from being a basketball hotshot, Daniel is becoming a promising golfer, too. He started in 2021 and shared that it helps him relax, as well as teaches him discipline in his daily life, such as waking up early and being patient. Daniel’s favorite golf buddies are Joshua Garcia, Zanjoe Marudo, and Daniel Miranda.</p><div><strong>John Estrada</strong></div><p>We may abhor him as Rigor in <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/batangquiapo"><strong><u>FPJ’s Batang Quiapo</u></strong></a>, but John is actually admirable in the fairway. He has fallen in love so much with the sport, to the point that he built his home next to a golf course in Cavite. Apart from playing for fun, he also joins various charity tournaments.</p><div><strong>Ogie Alcasid</strong></div><p>Did you know that Ogie has been a certified golfer for over 30 years. And all his training and play paid off when he emerged as the champion in the first-ever Star Magic Golf Cup last year, alongside his partner and <strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong> co-host Ryan Bang, as well as when he finally got his first-ever hole-in-one. He also has a golf cart that bears a “Regine” plate.</p><div><strong>Martin Nievera</strong></div><p>Whenever they’re not on the <strong><a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/asap"><u>ASAP Natin ‘To</u></a> </strong>stage, Martin is always game for the 18 holes with his fellow OPM icons and friends Ogie Alcasid and Gary Valenciano. The Concert King shared snaps of their games on Instagram and captioned one, “It’s always a beautiful day of golf and brotherhood <em>tsismisan</em>.”</p><div><strong>Gary Valenciano</strong></div><p>As mentioned, Gary is golf buddies with Ogie Alcasid and Martin Nievera, which greatly helps him to be extra dedicated to living an active lifestyle. Aside from the his fellow OPM legends and <strong><u>ASAP Natin ‘To</u> </strong>regulars, Mr. Pure Energy also sometimes plays with his nephew Donny Pangilinan. </p><div><strong>Enzo Pineda</strong></div><p>Just in case you’re wondering how Enzo stays fit and healthy, his workout routine includes exercising and participating in different sports like golf. And during his trip to Bangkok, Thailand last April, the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/theironheart"><strong><u>The Iron Heart</u></strong></a> actor made sure to swing by a golf course and made some furry friends. </p><div><strong>Ryan Bang</strong></div><p>Apart from his family here in the Philippines, Ryan seems to have found his happiness in playing golf, especially when he is with his <strong><a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itshowtime"><u>It’s Showtime</u></a> </strong>co-hosts like Amy Perez. And from simply playing for leisure, he eventually showed his competitiveness when he joined the Star Magic Golf Cup last year with his co-host Ogie Alcasid as his partner. Their team-up was so great as they took home the championship trophy.</p><div><strong>Amy Perez</strong></div><p>She may already be in his 50s, but Amy stays active by playing this sport, which also serves as one of her stress-relievers. And she has found her golf buddies with her <strong><a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itshowtime"><u>It’s Showtime</u></a></strong> family, namely Ryan Bang, Ogie Alcasid, and Louie Ocampo, as well as in Gary Valenciano and Martin Nievera.</p><div><strong>Andrea Brillantes</strong></div><p>The youngest in this roster, Andrea has also joined the growing list of celebrity golfers.
