Nestled in Quiapo, a revered cradle of faith in the Philippines, "FPJ's Batang Quiapo" beautifully captures the essence of Filipino spirituality. The characters frequently turn to Jesus Nazarene for divine assistance, highlighting the profound role of faith in their lives.

In this special Holy Week feature, Friday 5 collated scenes showcasing several characters from the series visiting Quiapo Church to pray, inspiring viewers to also reinvigorate their own prayer lives during this Lenten season.

Life in Quiapo isn’t for the weak. It is imbued with pain and challenges, yet people try their best to maintain a hopeful disposition. We often hear Tindeng (Charo Santos) say that they just have to knock on the heart of Jesus Nazarene and trust that He is listening. In this scene, she pleaded with God to give her grandson, Tanggol (Coco Martin), a renewed life.

Meanwhile, whenever bad news or tests come her way such as when a huge fight completely divided her family, Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) would immediately run to God for help.

When confronted with the trials of her father fighting for his life after an accident, Mokang (Lovi Poe) fervently begged the heavens for a miracle.

There was also a scene where the greedy landlord, Roda (Joel Lamangan) ran to church when he realized he had lost everything.

The Caballero matriarch, Bettina (Tessie Tomas), is also a devout follower of the Nazarene. Amen.”
