ABS-CBN's iWant starts 2019 with 11.3 million subscribers

<p>MANILA - ABS-CBN said Thursday its streaming service iWant kicked off 2019 with 11.3 million subscribers and its &quot;edgy&quot; new programs, movies and live shows. </p><p>iWant recorded 60 million video views in December 2018, and the app, which was launched in November, had 2 million downloads so far on iOS and Android, ABS-CBN said in a statement.</p><p>Thousands also watched Catriona Gray&#x27;s Miss Universe quest on iWant, which livestreamed the finals held in Bangkok on the ABS-CBN Live channel.</p><p>New features will also be introduced to subscribers such as offline viewing and commenting on and chatting about their favorite content within the streaming service.<br/> <br/>Aside from Chromecast and Apple Airplay compatibility, iWant will be available on TV streaming devices such as Roku, Android TV boxes and SKY set-top boxes.</p><p>Mobile users can subscribe to promos provided by their telecommunications providers to enjoy their favorite movies and shows on iWant. </p><p>Smart, TNT and Sun subscribers can stream iWant videos using Smart Gigasurf 99 with Video Every Day for P99. It comes with 2 GB data for surfing and other apps plus an additional 1 GB per day to watch up to 1 hour of videos per day, valid for 7 days, according to the statement. </p><p>Globe subscribers can stream Kapamilya movies and TV shows on iWant using the GoWATCH promo for as low as P29. Just text GoWATCH29 to 8080 to get 2 GB or up to 5 hours of streaming valid for one day.</p><p>Free original movies and shows such as &quot;Glorious,&quot; &quot;Spirits Reawaken, &quot;Alamat ng Ano,&quot; &quot;Ma,&quot; Laureen on a Budget,&quot; and &quot;I Know Right?
