He was 88.Gotianun left behind his wife, Mercedes, and their four children.Gotianun was the 18th richest man in the country, according to Forbes magazine, with an estimated net worth of over $900 million by the end of 2015.The FDC has interests in real estate development, sugar, hospitality, power generation, and banking.Its subsidiary is EastWest Banking Corp.On its Facebook page, Filinvest wrote:&quot;While every Filipino’s dream is to own a home, his dream was for every Filipino to own a home.&quot;Today, the Filinvest Group of Companies celebrates the life of a visionary man who not only dreamed and envisioned homes for every Filipino, but also fulfilled it.&quot;Indeed, you left us with a legacy worth pursuing.
