Philippines, Japan sign 26 deals during Duterte visit: official

Technology, manufacturing, industrial parks, retail and food businesses are among the letters of intent signed, Soriano said.</p><p>Japanese businessmen, who are particularly interested in Duterte&#x27;s anti-corruption drive, anticipated the President&#x27;s arrival, Soriano said. </p><p>&quot;That’s one of the things that the Japanese community appreciate, the fact that the government is steadfastly saying that they are against corruption and that they will make sure that investments will be protected and that red tape will be reduced a lot,&quot; he said. </p>
