PAL, Bangkok Airways sign code-share deal

MANILA - Philippine Airlines on Friday said it was expanding its Thailand network through a code-share deal with Bangkok Airways.The agreement, which takes effect on Oct. 28, will connect PAL passengers flying to Bangkok from Manila &quot;seamlessly&quot; using Bangkok Airways&#x27; flights to Chiang Mai through the Suvarnabhumi Airport, PAL said in a statement. Bangkok Airways passengers will be able to travel on PAL flights between Bangkok and Manila, the Filipino carrier said. &quot;Our alliance with Bangkok Airways gives us a &#x27;win-win&#x27; formula in terms of passenger comfort, convenience and satisfaction,&quot; PAL President and COO Jaime Bautista said.Both PAL and Bangkok Airways are rated 4 stars by industry monitor Skytrax.

The agreement will take effect on Oct. 28, making it easier for passengers to transfer between the 2 carriers.
