Expressways ready for Undas, says toll operator

MANILA—Expressway operator SMC Tollways on Saturday said the Skyway, NAIAX, STAR, SLEX and TPLEX roads are ready for the expected surge of motorists for Undas.In a statement, SMC Tollways said it will deploy additional ambulant tellers, and traffic and security personnel along the southbound portion of Skyway, NAIAX, SLEX and STAR Tollway. These include:<ul>	<li>Skyway C5 to Alabang Sucat interchange to Dr. Santos Avenue</li>	<li>NAIAX Main Toll Plaza A and B</li>	<li>SLEX Sta. Rosa to Calamba Toll Plaza A and B, and Ayala Toll Plaza</li>	<li>STAR Tollway Sto. Tomas Entry, Lipa Exit</li>	<li>Balagtas to roundabout</li></ul>It will also deploy additional personnel at the following tollroads for the return of motorists in Manila on Nov. 3 to 5:<ul>	<li>STAR Tollway Sto. Tomas Exit</li>	<li>SLEX Ayala Toll Plaza, Calamba Entry and Filinvest-Alabang Exit </li>	<li>Skyway Main On-ramp, Toll Plaza A and B</li></ul>Stations that can provide assistance and travel information to motorists will also be set up at the following tollroads:<ul>	<li>Skyway: C5 Area Southbound, Merville Area Southbound, and Sucat Area Southbound</li>	<li>SLEX: Petron San Pedro SB, and Petron KM44 Northbound</li>	<li>STAR Tollway: Petron Malvar, Petron Lipa Northbound, Lapu-Lapu Lay-by Northbound, and Petron San Jose Northbound</li>	<li>TPLEX: Petron KM134 Northbound and Southbound</li></ul>The toll operator advised cash-paying motorists to prepare exact toll fees to reduce queues.Emergency medical service providers and accredited towing services will be posted at strategic locations, it added.Motorists may download the traffic navigator Southern Tollways, check the official Twitter accounts of Skyway (@SkywaySOMCO) and SLEX (@OfficialSLEX), and reach this number for 24/7 emergency assistance: (02) 318-TOLL (8655).
