November 07, 2018. <em>Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA – The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) on Wednesday insisted that PT&amp;T failed to meet the technical capability requirements in the bidding for the third major telco player. </p><p>PT&amp;T earlier claimed that the NTC did not act on their request for a certificate to prove their capacity to serve on a national basis.</p><p>But NTC legal counsel Atty. Xandralyn Molina said said they issued a notice on Nov. 5 in response to PT&amp;T&#x27;s Oct. 18 and other &quot;subsequent&quot; requests, but a representative of the firm refused to accept the document. </p><p>“The NTC issued a notice that PT&amp;T did not meet the technical capability requirement. This is based on the evaluation made by the commission on its performance for the last 10 years,” Molina said.</p><p>Molina said the notice was physically brought to PT&amp;T&#x27;s Makati office the next day, but the NTC courier was refused entry.
