<figure class="op-interactive"><iframe height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/lAKeF-KTebs?enablejsapi=1" width="560"></iframe></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>Inaasahang magkakaroon ng pagbaba sa singil sa kuryente ang Manila Electric Company (Meralco) sa Enero, sabi ngayong Huwebes ng tagapagsalita ng power distributor.</p><p>May bawas kasi sa singil ng mga planta ng kuryente sa Meralco na maipapasa naman sa January bill ng mga konsumer, paliwanag ni Meralco spokesperson Joe Zaldarriaga. </p><p>&quot;There&#x27;s a bigger chance for power rates to be lower as opposed to for power rates to be higher,&quot; ani Zaldarriaga. </p><div><strong>BANTAY-PRESYO NG LANGIS </strong></div><p>Samantala, sa pagpapatuloy ng kalakalan ng langis sa pandaigdigang merkado noong Miyerkoles, P2.43 na ang ibinagsak ng presyo ng kada litro ng diesel, P1.96 naman ang sa kada litro ng gasolina, at P2.44 ang sa kada litro ng kerosene. </p><p>Pero sumipa raw ang presyo ng langis nitong Huwebes, ayon sa mga kompanya ng langis, kaya kritikal daw ang magiging kalakalan sa Biyernes.</p><p>Ayon naman sa kompanyang Unioil, sakaling maging bawas-presyo ang resulta, hindi na nila hihintayin ang Martes ng susunod na linggo para magtapyas ng singil sa kanilang produkto.</p><p>&quot;Papapaalam namin kaagad... latest na &#x27;yong Sabado kung sakali,&quot; ani Noel Soriano, vice president for business development sa Unioil.</p><p>&quot;Kung sakaling increase naman, siguro hayaan na muna natin mag-&#x27;happy New Year&#x27; nang maaga iyong ating mga kababayan at siguro next week na natin i-implement &#x27;yon,&quot; dagdag pa ni Soriano.</p><p>Sinabi rin ng Phoenix Petroleum na sakaling bawas-presyo ang resulta, ipatutupad na raw nila ito sa Sabado.</p><p>Ayon naman sa grupong Laban Konsyumer, wala dapat offsetting sa pagmura ng petrolyo sa pandaigdigang merkado at dagdag-presyong dulot naman ng mas mataas na buwis sa langis.</p><p>May nagmumungkahi raw kasing ibangga na lang ang ano mang rollback sa epekto ng buwis para mabawasan o mabura ang dagdag dulot ng buwis.</p><p>&quot;Dapat hiwalay ang rollback, iparamdam agad, ipasa agad sa presyo ng produkto, hiwalay din po ang issue ng excise taxes,&quot; sabi ni Laban Konsyumer President Vic Dimagiba.</p><div><strong>--Ulat ni Alvin Elchico, ABS-CBN News</strong></div>
