<div><span dir="ltr">MANILA - The Philippine central bank has dispelled rumors that it issued an directive on accepting US dollar banknotes with stamps until March 12. <br/><br/>&quot;The [Bangko Sentral ng Piliinas] advises the public to remain vigilant against bogus information, particularly those circulating on online chat groups, as well as entities that misrepresent the BSP,&quot; BSP said in a statement. </span></div><div><span dir="ltr">It also clarified that it does not accept requests for exchange or replacement of foreign currencies to Philippine Peso. <br/><br/>&quot;BSP’s mandate is limited to the exchange of Philippine currency to Philippine banknotes and coins of any other denomination,&quot; BSP added. </span></div><p>BSP urged the public to visit banks and money service businesses for exchange or replacement of foreign currencies. <span dir="ltr"></span></p>
