Cyril Martinez </em></div></figure></div><p>The wedding must go on.</p><p>Floods and strong winds did not stop a couple in Nabua, Camarines Sur from professing their love to each other during the onslaught of Typhoon Nina (international name: Nock-Ten) on Christmas Day.</p><p>The newly weds were identified as Maria Cyril Hernandez of Santiago Young, Nabua and Mark John Martinez of Iriga City.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img figcaption="" src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/news-special1/nation/01/01/w3-010117.jpg"/><div class="embed-desc">Newly wed couple Maria Cyril Hernandez and Mark John Martinez kiss on their wedding day. <em> Photo courtesy of Ma. Cyril Martinez </em></div></figure></div><p>The couple drew attention on social media after photos of the two dressed in a wedding gown and suit while standing in knee-deep floods surfaced. </p><p>Hernandez said she almost lost hope due to problems such as poor communication lines before their wedding.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img figcaption="" src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/news-special1/nation/01/01/w4-010117.jpg"/><div class="embed-desc"><em>Photo courtesy of Ma. Cyril Martinez </em></div></figure></div><p>She arrived at her wedding with the help of her neighbors, while her groom, Mark, arrived in a motorcycle three hours later after passing fallen trees and utility poles along the road.</p><p>Some of the couple’s visitors, including their photographer. were not able to make it to their wedding, leading them to settle for cellphone photos instead.</p><p>Hernandez, who was already five months pregnant, cried when the wedding finally pushed through. </p><p>She even almost lost consciousness due to fatigue.</p><p>Instead of a wedding car, the couple used a small boat instead.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img figcaption="" src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/news-special1/nation/01/01/w1-010117.jpg"/><div class="embed-desc">The newly-weds ride a small boat after their wedding. <em> Photo courtesy of Ma.
