<p>It takes a great actor to make gay roles multifaceted and believable. Christian Bables is one of those geniuses. There were quite some rejections as well until he was cast in the Kapamilya series “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/nasaankanangkailangankita"><strong><u>Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita</u></strong></a>.” He said his supposed three-day acting stint for the series was extended to ten days. Then, &quot;Die Beautiful&quot; happened, in which he played a gay role and got his first acting recognition. Basta mayroong magandang sinasabi ‘yung kwento at ‘yung character.” </p><p>Christian, who loved performing as a kid, can confidently say that acting is his calling. It gives him a feeling of healing as well. Through acting, he copes with the longing he has carried since his father passed away when he was eight. &quot;‘Yung mga dark, deep-seated issues ko in life, hindi ko kasi siya nasasabi with my parents, my brother, not even with myself. Sa acting ko nafe-feel ‘yung sarili ko.”</p><p>Christian brings to mind the time he went to the US to chase other opportunities. Not exactly in Hollywood but he just wanted to look for a new job, admittedly lost on which path to take. But that was in the past. Now, he is sure of his purpose as an actor. He feels in his heart that acting is his purpose and that he can tell other people’s stories through his craft.</p><p>He’s currently seen as Max Dionisio in <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/dirtylinen"><strong><u>Dirty Linen</u></strong></a>. It’s no news that viewers are impressed by his performance. He’s always been a reliable actor. But, it’s fascinating to note his unexpected chemistry with his co-star Jennica Garcia. And he thinks it’s the perfect way to keep their relationship harmonious, forever.</p><p>“Nando’n kami sa punto na ayaw naming masira ‘to. Gusto namin for life. I can always be and forever be the father of her kids. Nagse-stay sa gano’n. I can always be right here for her and with her kahit anong mangyari. Kasi ‘pag nahaluan ng romantic relationship, may tendency kasing maputol, ayaw namin ‘yun,” shared the award-winning actor, who added that he’s currently not dating anyone.</p><p>Only time will tell, as they say.
