In one scene, she lovingly talked to Nico (Seth Fedelin) over the phone, then snap-switched to resentment the moment she dropped the call and opened the cabinet that hides photos of their relatives victimized by the Fiero clan. Lala (Jennica Garcia) and Max (Christian Bables) arrived with food to celebrate Alexa infiltrating the Fiero mansion through her disguise as a maid.Her body language was intricately built in the next scene where she tried to seduce Carlos (John Arcilla) by leaving the button of her maid’s uniform open. Leona (Janice de Belen) scolded her for breaking the dress code and mocked the white sneakers she got from her mom Olivia (Dolly de Leon) before the latter disappeared. Janine has injected an air of angst into the character that we would know when she’s enraged or triggered. Rolando (Joel Torre), masked as the Fiero family’s driver Abe, noted Mila’s unease and made a way to distract Leona.Gliding from anger to sympathy, Janine was lauded for her ‘cake’ scene with Francine Diaz playing Chiara. What happened was Mila tried to impress Chiara with a mini-cake to celebrate her win in a math contest, which was ignored by her mom Leona. Chiara was offended, though, assuming that Mila did it out of pity. She flipped the cake and shouted at their new maid, who looked powerless.Janine was on par with veteran actor Joel Torre in the scene where they received a copy of the video scandal of Ador (Epy Quizon) and Rolando’s wife Riza (Liza Diño), which Alexa obtained from the computers in Ador’s secret room. Alexa ran to Rolando upon seeing him fuming with anger and pain. She held him tight and explained that they can’t touch the Fieros, not yet. Stella managed to call Alexa but the latter was too late and found Stella’s dead body floating on the river.
