ABS-CBN sweeps with 10 most-watched shows in 2017

<p>Coco Martin still holds the primetime king bragging rights, as his &quot;Ang Probinsyano&quot; topped the TV ratings for this past year. </p><p>The beloved cop drama, which has been on-air since 2015, came in first with a 38.6% average nationwide rating for the past 12 months, data from Kantar Media released Thursday showed. </p><p>The family-friendly reality talent contests, &quot;Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids&quot; (35.7%) and &quot;The Voice Teens&quot; (34.4%), were second and third, respectively, followed closely by Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo&#x27;s fantasy series, &quot;La Luna Sangre&quot; (33.8%). </p><p>&quot;TV Patrol&quot; (31.3%) was fifth in the list, which featured only shows from the Kapamilya network. </p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/entertainment/01/04/ratings1.jpg"/></figure></div><p>The sweep led to ABS-CBN being the top network for 2017, with an average audience TV rating of 46% compared to the 34% of its closest rival, GMA-7. </p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/entertainment/01/04/ratings2.jpg"/></figure></div><p>The figures were based on Kantar Media&#x27;s measurement, which uses a nationwide panel size of 2,610 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total television viewing population. </p><p>To compare, other ratings data supplier AGB Nielsen reportedly has 2,000 homes based in urban areas that represent only 57%. </p><p>In 2016, ABS-CBN also swept the Top 10 most watched shows with &quot;Pangako Sa &#x27;Yo&quot; joining &quot;The Voice Kids&quot; and &quot;Ang Probinsyano&quot; at the summit. </p>
