MANILA --Former child actor Jiro Manio said he does not regret selling his prestigious Gawad Urian Best Actor trophy to vlogger Boss Toyo.Manio expressed his desire for the trophy he won for the award-winning classic film &quot;Magnifico&quot; to be displayed in the museum that Boss Toyo plans to build.&quot;Sa totoo lang po kasi, &#x27;pag pinapanood ko &#x27;yung Pinoy Pawn Stars, tumatak sa isip ko &#x27;yung Pinoy. Sabi ko dito dito lang iyan sa Pilipinas, parang feeling ko susuwertihin din ako kapag na-meet ko si Boss Toyo kasi sikat nga siya eh. Saka &#x27;yung narinig ko &#x27;yung balita na magtatayo siya ng museum, naisip ko, parang na-imagine ko, maraming mga artistang nagbebenta sa kanya, may mga memorabilia na ilalagay niya dun lahat, mapapasama ako. Kung makita ko &#x27;yung trophy ko, maaalala ko na ako &#x27;yung pinakamahusay na aktor na nagbenta kay Boss Toyo ng trophy at nilagay niya sa museo niya at lahat naging masaya,&quot; he said.He initially priced the trophy at ₱500,000 but eventually settled for ₱75,000.&quot;Medyo nakaka-stress kasi pinilit ko &#x27;yung 500 (thousand) tapos bumaba ng 65, 50, naging 70, 75 thousand. Sabi ko boss sige na deal na, kaysa mawala pa. Saka blessed naman ako nung araw na iyon kaya tinanggap ko na,&quot; Manio said.&quot;Iyon ang napili ko kasi iba &#x27;yung dating niya sa mata ko, kasi para siyang kakaiba. Kasi kapag tinitingnan ko &#x27;yung mga trophy ko, &#x27;yung FAMAS ko dalawa, &#x27;yung MMFF ko isa, Star Awards ko dalawa. Siya na &#x27;yung napili ko e, &#x27;yung talagang puwede kong ibenta kay Boss Toyo,&quot; he added.Acknowledging his financial needs, Manio shared, &quot;Siguro mahirap din pero dahil nga nauunawaan naman ako ng mga tao siguro kung bakit ko pinatago kay Boss Toyo &#x27;yung trophy. Siguro dala na rin ng hirap ng buhay, siguro maiintindihan ako ng mga tao na kailangan ko rin, may pangangailangan din ako.&quot;Manio spent the money on his family, Christmas, New Year, and personal items.The former actor now volunteers at a drug rehabilitation center, emphasizing self-recovery and expressing gratitude to those who supported him during his recovery.&quot;Ang hindi ko makalimutan na lagi kong shine-share ay &#x27;yung self-recovery, &#x27;yung tuloy-tuloy na pagbabago sa buhay. Kahit na ano mangyari sa kabila ng napabalita ako kung ano na &#x27;yung mga naging magkakamali ko nun ay pinagsisihan ko na at higit sa lahat, nakakilala ako sa Diyos,&quot; he said.Manio also mentioned being busy with family and currently has no plans to return to movies or television.&quot;Masaya naman po ako sa araw-araw at nakakatulong po ako sa kanila at isa pa, iniintindi ko po yung self-recovery ko kasi saan man ako magpunta maari ba akong mapabisyo na naman o hindi. Ngayon stable muna ako sa family ko,&quot; said Jiro.He concluded with gratitude, saying, &quot;Maraming maraming salamat po at hanggang ngayon nandiyan pa rin kayo at nandito pa rin ako.
