Matteo tags Sarah as best part of challenging race

MANILA – It was Matteo Guidicelli’s first time to participate at the BOSS Ironman Challenge but it’s definitely one for the books.

In an Instagram post, the actor shared the struggles he and his team encountered from the moment they kicked off their almost 18-hour bike ride.

“It was one heck of an experience! We finished in 17 hours and 45min. We took off from Pampanga at 9:45 pm by 1 am it started raining in Pagudpud all the way until 6 am,” he began.

“We were wet and freezing and that slowed down the pace for us. When sunrise came we started cooling down and enjoying the ride more,” he added.

But the biggest challenge their team faced was the fact that they all needed sleep.

“We had to stop several times to take power naps. It was nuts,” he said.

Nonetheless, Guidicelli considers it a good ride especially since he had his girlfriend, singer Sarah Geronimo, waiting for him at the finish line.

“The best part was Mia (Guidicelli’s cousin) and Sarah was at the finish line waiting for us!! THANK YOU,” he ended his post.

Despite being together for more than five years now, Guidicelli and Geronimo maintain a low-profile relationship despite their stature in showbiz.

Since Geronimo confirmed her relationship with Guidicelli in mid-2014, the two have noticeably kept to a minimum their public appearances together, even skipping each other’s premiere nights and other similar showbiz events.

Geronimo does not have an active presence on social media, while Guidicelli rarely posts photos of them together. His post after the BOSS Ironman Challenge should be considered an exception.
