Joshua, Julia's final moments as Inno, Eva win TV ratings

<p>MANILA -- The television series of Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia concluded last Friday with monster ratings.</p><p>ABS-CBN&#x27;s &quot;Ngayon at Kailanman,&quot; which <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/01/18/19/ngayon-at-kailanman-finale-bittersweet-nail-biter-has-fans-in-tears">finale</a> aired on January 18, garnered a national TV rating of 34.7 percent, according to Star Creatives.</p><p>It is 19.3 percentage points higher than the ratings of rival program, GMA-7’s “Onanay,” which only got 15.4 percent.</p><blockquote class="instagram-media" Garcia&#x27;s Inno and Barretto&#x27;s Eva both died in the “Ngayon at Kailanman” finale. </p><p>A dangerously confused Oliver (Jameson Blake), in a fit of blind rage, guns down both Eva and Inno, thinking that they had a hand in the death of his mother, who unknown to him is actually alive. </p><p>Inno fails to convince Oliver this, and the consequence turns out to be a fatal one. </p><p>A powerful sequence sees Inno try and take a bullet for Eva. When he opens his eyes, he wakes to Eva, whom he deeply loves, beside him bloodied and dying. He gets up and tries to carry her to a hospital but he stops to spit out blood. He, too, is dying.</p><p>It takes until the morning for the police to arrive. Inno and Eva are long dead, and Oliver is stunned in place, in shock over what he did to his brother and the girl he used to love.</p><p>As of writing, Barretto and Garcia have yet to announce their next project together following “Ngayon at Kailanman.”</p>
