‘Sleep well, brother’: In live video, Brian McKnight sings in memory of James Ingram

He was 66.</p><p>In a live video on Facebook, McKnight said his “music would not be the same — my life would not be the same — without the music that [Ingram] created and sang.”</p><div><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script></div><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/brianmcknight/videos/317283655581414/" data-width="auto"> </div><p>He went on to sing tunes written or popularized by Ingram, including “I Don’t Have the Heart,” “One Hundred Ways,” “Just Once,” and “How Do You Keep the Music Playing.”</p><p>“James Ingram, we are going to miss you, my friend,” McKnight said. “I thank you for leaving all these music to us. Rest in peace. Sleep well, brother.”</p><p>Both well-loved songs by Filipinos, McKnight and Ingram have held sold-out concerts in the Philippines.<br/> </p>
