'Anong nangyari sa pangako?': Vice Ganda opens up about direk Bobet Vidanes leaving 'Showtime'

<p>MANILA – Vice Ganda for the first time spoke up about how he feels after director Bobet Vidanes decided to leave “It’s Showtime.”</p><p>Through his personal vlog, the comedian said he was surprised when he learned that Vidanes has resigned as the director of the ABS-CBN noontime show.</p><p>“Siyempre nagulat, wala namang nakakaalam. Hindi ko alam kung walang nakakaalam. Hindi ko alam kung alam niyo or hindi kasi ako personally, hindi ko alam,” he said.</p><p>Vice Ganda said he even reached out to Vidanes to ask him about the sudden turn of events but the latter did not text him back.</p><p>“Tinext ko siya na usap kami para lang maintindihan ko ‘di ba? Hindi niya ako sinagot. Para alam ko man lang or alam man lang natin or isa man lang sa atin ang may alam ng totoong rason. Kasi &#x27;yung rason, &#x27;yun &#x27;yung sinabi niya sa management pero &#x27;yung personal, wala naman siyang kinausap sa atin ‘di ba,” he said.</p><p>“Nakakagulat lang, parang after 11 years, ganun lang pala iyon. Kung meron man tayong bahagi doon sa dahilan niya para umalis, sana nalaman man lang natin,” he added.</p><p>Had Vidanes talked to any one of them, Vice Ganda feels it would not have resulted to him leaving the show.</p><p>“Kung ano man ang dahilan niya, sana napag-usapan. Kung talagang family tayo, baka kung napag-usapan, baka nagawan ng paraan. Baka natulungan natin ang isa’t isa. Kung may pinagdadaanan siya noon, baka nakagawa tayo ng paraan,” he said.</p><p>Vice Ganda said he would also be lying if he said that he wasn’t hurt by Vidanes’ move.</p><p>“Ang plastic kapag sinabi kong hindi ako na-offend. Naloka din ako, ano &#x27;yun ganun lang? Walang sabi-sabi? After 11 years? Nanggaling pa&#x27; yun sa anniversary na meron pa tayong mga chikang walang iwanan kahit anong mangyari. Sa opening ‘di ba may ganun tayo? Tapos a few days after the anniversary, biglang maririnig ko. Anong nangyari sa pangako?” he said.</p><p>In addition to sending Vidanes a message, Vice Ganda shared that he also pleaded with his fellow hosts to help him convince their director not to push through with his decision.</p><p>“Nakiusap ako sa inyo lahat na tulungan niyo ako na pigilan natin siya. Kasi siyempre kung meron naman tayong pipiliing director, wala naman tayong pipiliin kung hindi siya. Siyempre tatay nga. Ipagpapalit mo ba &#x27;yung tatay mo kahit hindi kayo magkasundo? Kinalakihan ko na &#x27;yung &#x27;Showtime&#x27; na siya &#x27;yung tatay ko. Kaya hangga’t maaari, kaya nakiusap ako sa inyong lahat na pigilan niyo,” he said.</p><p>Despite everything, Vice Ganda said he still wishes Vidanes well.<br/>“Sana okay siya kung ano man ang kinahinatnan nung decision niyo. Sana okay siya,” he said.</p><p>At the end of the day, Vice Ganda said he will always treasure his “It’s Showtime” family who he’s been with for over a decade now.</p><p>“Ang daming pinagdaanan ng &#x27;Showtime&#x27; pero kahit ano pa man ang mangyari diyan, ang ganda ganda ng bahay na iyan. Kaya lalo siyang maganda kasi ang dami niyang pinagdaanan. Pinaganda siya nung mga peklat niya. &#x27;Yung scars niya ang bumuo sa kanya at lalong nagpaganda sa kanya.
