The TNT Boys fell agonizingly short in their bid to earn a place in the finals of the US talent show "The World's Best," this despite their "flawless" cover of "Flashlight."

On Wednesday's episode (US time), the TNT Boys found themselves pitted against acappella group Naturally 7 and Vonnie Lopez & The High Praise Choir in the group music championships.

Their performance had judge Drew Barrymore gushing about how flawless it was, but their rendition of the Jessie J hit was only good enough for second place, behind Naturally 7.

"When you have a show called 'The World's Best,' that's a very high bar to set and you guys just reach it every time if not surpass it," Barrymore told the young group from the Philippines.

The result meant that Naturally 7 will take home the $50,000 prize for being champions of their division, and will move on to the overall finals of the show set to air next week.

The TNT Boys consist of Francis Concepcion, Mackie Empuerto, and Kiefer Sanchez.
