Being a four-chair turner, Gonzales had the option to join all the teams, except for Bamboo&#x27;s. The rock star was blocked by Sarah Geronimo, a new feature added in this season. Gonzales eventually went with apl.de.ap, despite the best efforts of Lea Salonga and Geronimo. &quot;You can tell the story [of the song] with so much joy and make it yours,&quot; Salonga told Gonzales. Geronimo added: &quot;I will push you harder to achieve kung ano pa iyong gusto mong ma-achieve as an artist.&quot; According to Gonzales, she tried to get into the blind auditions of the first season of &quot;The Voice Teens.&quot; She failed, but she was happy that her sister did. Gia became a member of the team of Geronimo. Gonzales, who was born and raised in Hong Kong, is also a cousin of Zephanie Dimaranan, the winner of &quot;Idol Philippines.&quot;
