<figure class="op-interactive"><iframe height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pDQVf62rFpc?enablejsapi=1" width="560"></iframe></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>MANILA -- Five years after releasing her acclaimed single “Stars &amp; Caramel Bars” in 2017, Sharlene San Pedro is back with new music.</p><p>San Pedro, who once did a cover of Mayonnaise&#x27;s “Paraan,” has teamed up with the OPM band&#x27;s lead singer Monty Macalino to release the pop-rock number &quot;Running.&quot;</p><p>Composed and produced by Macalino under Yellow Room Music, &quot;Running&quot; is now available for streaming on all digital music platforms worldwide.</p><p>&quot;Nung napakinggan ko &#x27;yung kanta sobrang pasok agad sa tainga ko kaya sabi ko, mukhang babagay ito sa akin. Ito na lang ang i-release natin. Sabi ko, i-record na rin natin agad-agad. So na record namin ito November 2021,&quot; San Pedro told Star Magic&#x27;s Inside News on Thursday.</p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-4CbqOVUqE4?enablejsapi=1" width="560"></iframe></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>&quot;Ang kantang ito ay para siyang nakalutang &#x27;yung isang tao na parang gusto niyang mag-stay na lang sa memory na &#x27;yon kahit alam niya na he or she is running out of time,&quot; she said.</p><p>&quot;Malungkot siya oo, pero medyo may pagka-rock. &#x27;Yun naman ang gusto kong i-release din talaga dahil ang record label ko ay puro mga rakista talaga ang nandoon. Mga rock po ang musical genre na pinapakinggan ko,&quot; added San Pedro, who said some of her musical influences include the band Paramore.</p><p>In the interview, San Pedro stressed that this doesn&#x27;t mean she is turning her back on her acting career.</p><p>&quot;Hindi naman po ako magla-lay low sa acting. Ako naman po ay may naka-lineup in the future. Thankful din sa Star Magic dahil sa napakaalaga nila sa akin lalo ngayon na talagang binibigyan nila ako ng freedom kung ano ang gusto kong gawin sa aking career,&quot; San Pedro said.</p><p>&quot;Continuously evolving at growing ako sa aking career path. Ang acting roles ko or mga project na gagawin ko ay hindi mainstream, &#x27;yun po ang parang mas gusto kong i-goal na parang mas indie, mas medyo complicated na. Ganun ang parang wini-wish ko in the future,&quot; she added.</p>
