'Wala nang I love you': Nash says he, Alexa going separate ways

Teen stars Nash Aguas and Alexa Ilacad, whose onscreen tandem dubbed "NLex" has garnered a loyal following over the years, will no longer be a "love team" going forward.

This was confirmed by Aguas, 19, in an interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" that aired Monday to promote the nearing finale of "The Good Son," which also stars Ilacad.

He explained that they agreed on discontinuing the team-up, pointing out their separate goals; Aguas wants to become a director, while Ilacad hopes to pursue a music career.

The end of "NLex," it seems, also translates to Aguas and Ilacad's personal relationship. Since they were paired onscreen, their fans have speculated the "romance" also spilled over to real life.

However, in his interview with Abunda, Aguas had a ready answer when asked where his relationship stands now with Ilacad, and whether they still say "I love you" to each other.
