Well, even vloggers Wil Dasovich and Alodia Gosiengfiao are not quite sure about why they are suddenly being called out as the newest perpetuators of &quot;toxic masculinity,&quot; and that they deserve to be &quot;cancelled&quot; for showing how men control their girlfriends. </p><p>The online outrage, mainly from Twitter users as the two have pointed out, stem from a TikTok video they posted this past week. It features them making their own version of an ongoing trend on the site of women stripping clothes to the beat of a song. </p><p>Theirs show Gosiengfiao teasing like she&#x27;s about to strip like the other girls only for a topless Dasovich --flipping people&#x27;s expectations-- to enter the frame and both of them walk out, with Gosiengfiao shaking her head and Dasovich wagging his finger to say not this time. </p><p>It has more than 2 million views on Twitter alone, but as Dasovich admitted, it went viral &quot;for all the wrong reasons.&quot;</p><blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p dir="ltr" lang="hu"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/MyHeartWentOops?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#MyHeartWentOops</a> 😍 Add my TikTok: alodia <a href="https://t.co/wCPXapyesJ">pic.twitter.com/wCPXapyesJ</a></p>— Alodia Gosiengfiao (@AlodiaAlmira) <a href="https://twitter.com/AlodiaAlmira/status/1250339441501032449?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 15, 2020</a></blockquote><div><script async="" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charSet="utf-8" type="text/javascript"></script></div><p>&quot;Everything should never be taken out of context,&quot; Dasovich insisted, before reading the criticisms she and his girlfriend got from Twitter users who escalated things. &quot;Iyan ang pinakaimportante sa lahat.&quot; </p><p>The context, he argued, is that they had planned for it to be parody of the trending TikTok video format aimed at people expecting a girl to strip but showing a topless guy instead. </p><p>Gosiengfiao said people were &quot;overanalyzing&quot; things when they say that their video promotes men controlling how their girlfriends&#x27; dress, saying that she was the one who even zipped up her jacket.</p><p>Both of them, in their video, did apologize to those offended, but they pleaded for them to understand that their intention for posting it was to entertain people --&quot;the purpose is to make you laugh.&quot; </p><p>They added, jokingly: &quot;We&#x27;re taking this into account and we&#x27;re probably going to be scared every time we post a video.&quot; </p><p>To end, they encouraged people who were offended to explain to them their points, saying that they can agree to disagree but in the end &quot;it’s healthy to see all point of views.&quot; </p>
