If that sounds familiar to you, it&#x27;s probably because it has been confirmed to be the Philippines&#x27; famous Banaue Rice Terraces. </p><p>A representative from Disney told ABS-CBN News&#x27; Marie Lozano that the filmmakers at Marvel Studios planned for Thanos to retreat to the Ifugao province following the events of the movie. </p><p>It&#x27;s similar to the ending of the Infinity Gauntlet -- the comic book series where the &quot;Avengers: Infinity War&quot; was based on -- in which Thanos exiles himself to work as a farmer to reflect on his loss. </p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/tvpatrol/04/24/thanos.jpg"/><figcaption>A photo of Thanos in &#x27;Avengers: Infinity War&#x27; and from inside the pages of the Infinity Gauntlet comic book series. <em>Marvel Studios and Marvel Comics</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>And if you&#x27;re wondering, no, Brolin did not fly to the Philippines to shoot the poignant scene. Marvel Studios used footage of the Banaue Rice Terraces acquired with the help of Indochina Productions, a production studio based in Thailand, and applied visual effects to create it. </p><p>On Facebook this Wednesday, Indochina Productions shared the photo used as inspiration for Thanos&#x27; exile location of choice, saying that they were proud to be included in the movie&#x27;s end credits. </p><div><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script></div><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/indochinaproductions/posts/2024075040954250" data-width="auto"> </div>
