Maroket.</p><p>In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday at the press conference for his newest single &quot;Waray Waray,&quot; which will be available on digital platforms soon, the singer said he opened up about the split to finally end speculations.</p><p>&quot;I have to put this on record na lang -- hiwalay na ako since 2016,&quot; Zuñiga said.</p><p>&quot;Kasi may lumalabas pa rin para tama na &#x27;yung news. We have to say what is right, ganun lang. Kasi &#x27;yung iba nagi-speculate. Para wala ng <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/02/25/16/nonoy-zuiga-clarifies-split-with-wife">speculations</a>,&quot; he added.</p><p>Asked of the cause of the separation, the &quot;Kamusta Ka&quot; singer replied: &quot;Third party &#x27;yon talaga ang cause and other things na minor lang, pero &#x27;yon talaga ang major.&quot;</p><p>Zuñiga said he tried to save the marriage but failed.</p><p>&quot;I went to the US to save the marriage pero wala talaga. At least I&#x27;ve tried,&quot; says Zuñiga, who admitted that he is no longer in touch with Maroket.<br/> <br/>In February 2016, Zuñiga cleared a &quot;blind item&quot; claiming that his relationship with Maroket has hit a rough patch. The singer denied considering a divorce, but admitted to having problems with Maroket.</p>
