Everyone knows this song. I guess the challenge was to make your own rendition and at the same time, not to lose the magic of the song,” Amon said.</p><p>On how they prepared for it, Amon said: &quot;We both watched the movie just to really internalize na parang kami mismo si Jasmine and Aladdin.&quot;</p><p>They likewise shared they have yet to reach out to Lea Salonga, who first popularized the beloved tune in 1992. Nonetheless, they are hoping they made the renowned singer proud.</p><figure class="op-interactive"><div id="IVS_ABS_Body_Video_1_Container"> <ivs-player id="IVS_ABS_Body_Video_1" data-ivs-spid="3001339" data-ivs-key="e8c22c015ca9eafa76f1e3edfa03c603" data-ivs-vid="1385511" data-ivs-floating="1"></ivs-player> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/iframe-parent.js"></script> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/loader.js"></script> </div></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>“Kasi siyempre ang dami pong sobrang talented na singers dito sa bansa and we are just very blessed na kami po &#x27;yung napili to be able to give a rendition of ‘A Whole New World.’ I am just really grateful and thankful,” said Amon.</p><p>When asked if they are open to recording other Disney songs in the future, Espanto did not mince words for his reply.</p><p>“Oh yeah, of course,” he exclaimed. “This is such a big thing for both of us and it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity so I’d love to do another Disney classic.”</p><p>Espanto said it is a huge privilege that Filipino talents are being recognized not just in the Philippines but also in other countries.</p><p>The new “Aladdin” film opened in cinemas nationawide on Wednesday. </p>
