MANILA — It's not just Cardo returning next week but the whole "It's Showtime" family, too, via the Kapamilya Channel, bringing along with them a slew of new segments for their fans.

A short trailer was uploaded on Facebook on Friday by the noontime show, teasing some of things they have in store for viewers. "New normal? New saya," it was hinted.

The titles of the new segments are: "Super Fiestars," "1Ted Now Hiring," and "Pamilyanaryo."

The hit singing contest "Tawag ng Tanghalan" will also be returning.

The resumption of "It's Showtime" on the Kapamilya Channel, starting June 13, will be warmly welcomed by fans starved for content.

The decision to get the cameras rolling again was made thanks to the government's approval of safety guidelines, that include rules on physical distancing, tests, and limiting of staff.

Production ground to a halt due to the spread of the coronavirus, and the return of shows such as "It's Showtime" and" Ang Probinsyano" will be welcome news to not just fans, but also to the many TV workers, from directors to cameramen, to makeup artists and assistants.

The Kapamilya Channel will be available starting June 13 on SKY, Cablelink, G Sat, and most member-cable operators of the Philippine Cable Television Association (PCTA) nationwide.

Besides "Ang Probinsyano" and "It's Showtime," programming will feature "A Soldier's Heart" and "Love Thy Woman," as well as the hit K-drama "The World of a Married Couple."

New shows include the public service programs "Paano Ba Kita Pasasalamatan" with Judy Ann Santos, and "Iba 'Yan" with Angel Locsin.
