Alma Moreno reveals how jail changed Mark Anthony

She visited her son, actor Mark Anthony Fernandez, every day in jail prior to him being released.

And Alma Moreno discussed how imprisonment changed her son in an interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" this Thursday.

Fernandez spent more than a year in jail due to marijuana possession, before the dismissal of his case last December.

Moreno said her son was too proud before to show that he needed help.

"Pero ngayon, sabi niya sa akin, 'Mama, hindi. Sa iyo na ako. Hindi na ako hihiwalay sa iyo.'"

She also said that Fernandez, who has signed with a talent agency following the incident, has learned his lesson, and is determined to not waste the second chance given to him.

Moreno was on the late night talk show to promote the morning series, "Sana Dalawa ang Puso," which stars Jodi Sta. Maria, Richard Yap, and Robin Padilla.
