Junior New System wins at this year's WCOPA

<figure class="op-interactive"><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/AQDDo0kMPUQ" width="560"></iframe></figure><p>MANILA – Filipino teen dance troupe Junior New System brought honor to the Philippines anew after winning major awards at this year’s World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA).</p><p>The competition was held at Long Beach, California from July 8 to 17.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/news-special1/nation/07/17/071716_junior.jpg"/><figcaption><div class="embed-desc"><em>Photo from WCOPA&#x27;s Facebook Page</em></div></figcaption></figure></div><p>According to WCOPA’s page, the dance group was named the 2016 Senior Grand Champion Performer of the World beating several others in the category.</p><p>The Filipinos were also awarded the 2016 Champion Dance Group of the World.</p><p>In their official <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Junior-New-System-138991902814553/?fref=ts"><strong>Facebook page</strong></a>, Junior New System shared a video of their performance which has already garnered over 26,000 views in less than 24 hours.</p><p>The group also thanked all their supporters who rooted for them in the competition.</p><p>Last year, Junior New System also made headlines as one of the nine finalists in the pan-Asian regional talent search “Asia’s Got Talent.”</p>
