MANILA – Ever the comedian, Billy Crawford took a hilarious take on speculations about his alleged "bromance" with good friend Luis Manzano.

At the launch of his movie “That Thing Called Tanga Na,” Crawford was asked by media to describe his relationship with Manzano, and his reaction to speculations about his sexual preference.

"Si Luis, siya 'yung girl," he quipped, laughing.

"But truthfully, ang hirap hagilapin niyan, malalim. Puro kalokohan on TV pero he is one of the most intelligent human beings I know. But he's very secretive, kailangan huhugutin mo. Hindi mago-open unless he trusts you."

Did you ever doubt his manhood?

"Lulu boy? No, never. I don't have to, I really don't care. I don't look for a friend and then huhusgahan mo gender niya," he said.

Manzano and Crawford have been long time co-hosts in several ABS-CBN shows, notably “Pilipinas Got Talent.”

Before that, Crawford was a favorite child actor of Manzano’s mother, Vilma Santos, in her movies.

Crawford said they both laugh at speculations on social media about their relationship. "Lalo kaming naglalandian, hahaha!"

The offbeat role suprised many showbiz folk and fans, including Crawford’s girlfriend Coleen Garcia, who was incredulous at his supposed intimate scene with a fellow actor.

"Nagulat na lang siya. She said, ‘Did you really do that?’ Nakuwestyon niya kung kaya ko o hindi. I said ‘Yes but it was difficult,” he said.
