Is Sue Ramirez being typecast in 'third wheel' roles?

MANILA -- For the second time, Sue Ramirez played the "third wheel" in the recently concluded primetime series "Dolce Amore."

Her character, Angel, was Tenten's (Enrique Gil) former girlfriend and Serena's (Liza Soberano) older sister.

Although she was paired with Binggoy (Kean Cipriano), their romance was short-lived. Binggoy died at the middle of the story, leaving Angel behind with her family.

She also played Ligaya, the third wheel to Yna (Kathryn Bernardo) and Angelo (Daniel Padilla). At the end of the story, her character was also left with no love interest.

Despite that, the 20-year-old actress continues to believe that such roles are not bad for her career. In fact, she is even thankful for the chance to work with the country's top love teams.

“They have helped me a lot in many ways. Career wise and sa buhay ko. I’m thankful,” she told Push in an interview.;

Ramirez, meanwhile, acknowledged that playing third wheel may attract bashing from die-hard fans of the love teams. But instead of fighting back, she said she chooses to "just send them inspirational words.”

“Pray for them na sana they learn to appreciate the things na gawa ni God. Let’s not pull each other down instead let’s lift each other up,” she added.
