“The Hows of Us” continued its winning streak at the box office Friday, or 10 days after it hit cinemas nationwide, as it crossed the P400-million mark in ticket sales, according to producer Star Cinema.

The latest film of the tested tandem of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla has earned P404,689,619.20 as of 5 p.m., September 7.

The exact figure was announced by Star Cinema through its social media channels, with a note from for George, from Primo.

George and Primo are the respective characters of Bernardo and Padilla in the film, which shows the struggles of a long-term relationship.

With its latest milestone, “The Hows of Us” becomes the first film starring KathNiel to breach the P400-million mark. Their most recent outings — “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and “Barcelona: A Love Untold” — each grossed over P300 million, an already impressive number.

The box-office performance of “The Hows of Us,” relative to the time it’s achieved the number, is notable. With an August 29 release date, it has yet to be screened for a full second weekend, when most moviegoers troop to theaters.
