For his audition, James Ryan Cesena, who lives in California, sang an acoustic version of Justin Bieber&#x27;s hit song, &quot;Boyfriend.&quot; He said that he learned how to sing from his French mother, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. Praising him for his performance, actor Aga Muhlach told Cesena: &quot;I&#x27;ve been waiting for you. Finally! You did really well. Good job!&quot; Korean pop star Sandara Park added: &quot;I don&#x27;t know how to speak in English so I don&#x27;t know how to express my feelings but I like you and I&#x27;ll teach you how to speak in Tagalog.&quot; Comedian Vice Ganda, however, had his reservations. &quot;You play the guitar well, you sing so well. But the problem I have with you is that you don&#x27;t speak or sing any Filipino song. If you will be part of a Pinoy boyband, it will be very hard for the other members to adjust for you.&quot; Cesena promised Vice Ganda that he&#x27;ll learn the local language if he makes it past the audition round, which he eventually did after receiving the three needed nods from Park, Muhlach, and singer Yeng Constantino.
