Jodi, 'Bridges of Love' bag International Emmy nominations

Maria and the drama series &quot;Bridges of Love&quot; are among the nominees in the 2016 International Emmy Awards.</p><p>The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the nominees Monday.</p><p>Sta. Maria is one of the nominees for Best Actress for her performance as Amor Powers in the drama series &quot;Pangako Sa &#x27;Yo.&quot;</p><p>She will be competing against the U.K.&#x27;s Judi Dench (&quot;Roald Dahl&#x27;s Esio Trot&quot;), Brazil&#x27;s Grazi Massafera (&quot;Verdades Secretas&quot;) and Germany&#x27;s Christiane Paul (&quot;Unterm Radar&quot;).</p><p>Meanwhile, &quot;Bridges of Love,&quot; which starred Jericho Rosales, Paulo Avelino and Maja Salvador, was nominated in the Telenovela category, alongside entries from Canada and Brazil.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/news-special1/entertainment/9/26/bol-092616.jpg"/></figure></div><p>A total of 40 nominees across 10 categories and 15 countries are included in the list.</p><p>&quot;The International Emmy competition is the pinnacle for recognizing excellence in television around the world,&quot; Bruce L. Paisner, president and CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, said in a statement. &quot;We congratulate the 2016 Nominees and welcome them to our global stage.&quot; </p><p>The winners will be announced on November 21 at the Hilton New York Hotel.</p>
